This Loran set was the next generation up from our APN / 4 unit. Aside from being quite different to operate, it also had a completely different display and combined the separate receiver into the one cabinet.
The APN / 9 Loran you see to the left was donated to the Radar Room by the Defence Electronics History Society and for that we’re very grateful. Thank you!
The unit itself is in very good cosmetic condition, but understandably has a number of component issues which we are gradually resolving. This is clearly going to be a long term project but will be worth it in the end!
